1. Email & Account Information

To prevent spam and fake accounts, the Choculaterie requires a valid email address when you register.
Your email is never shared with third parties and is used only for essential functions like login, account recovery, and optional two-factor authentication (2FA).

If you prefer to create an account without an email, you may contact me on Discord.
Note: Without an email, account recovery and 2FA will not be available.

2. Cookies & Sessions

The Choculaterie uses cookies to manage login sessions and remember your authentication state.
No third-party cookies are used for tracking or advertising purposes.

3. Page Visit Tracking

The Choculaterie track visits locally to better understand how the site is used and improve functionality.
This data includes:

- Page name visited
- Timestamp of visit
- Your IP address
- Referrer URL
- Session ID
- User ID (if logged in)
- Whether you're authenticated
- Device type, OS, and browser info
- Language settings
- Whether you're a new or returning visitor

The Choculaterie do not use any third-party analytics or trackers. All data is processed and stored locally.

4. CAPTCHA

I currently use Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam during registration.
However, I plan to replace this soon as I do not trust Google's data practices.

5. Advertising

All ads displayed on this site are currently local and not served by third-party ad networks.
No user data is shared externally for advertising purposes.

6. Your Rights & Contact

You can request deletion of your account or data at any time.
